Play for a Change

While adopting a play policy is not a requirement for receiving a grant it is something we recommend as part of your Playbuilder scheme.

The Oxfordshire Children and Young People’s Trust adopted a Play Policy in May 2009. You may download a copy from the Oxfordshire County Council Website.

Play England has published a comprehensive review of the evidence underpinning current thinking on play.

It provides a detailed analysis of research and literature published since 2001 that underpins contemporary understandings of the importance of play and how this relates to social policy and practice.
